Tepee

Tepee is a glamping concept developed for a chain in the US, so the design had to adapt to different sites and climates while keeping its character. The starting point was the cone of the traditional North American tipi, a simple shape that shelters from wind and cold. We kept that archetype and opened it with panoramic windows, so the light, sky and forest become part of a warm, private room.

The brief asked for real comfort in a compact cabin: a full bathroom with a shower and toilet, and a built-in kitchen that disappears behind cabinet fronts when not in use. A second sleeping place sits above the bathroom, which keeps the main room open. The large bed faces the view, with two lounge chairs and a small table beside it, and outside there is a hot tub and a fireplace.

Wood forms the main volume, and the bathroom is finished in water-resistant microcement. At night, concealed LED profiles along the ribs of the frame trace the tipi’s silhouette; inside, woven rattan pendants and a backlit panel behind the bed keep the light warm. Tepee was the studio’s first glamping project, and its structure and materials were worked out for temperature swings, humidity and wind.
